Project Overview
RESET is a transformative art project undertaken by Love Happiness and Freedom
Foundation (LHFF) aimed at revitalizing a public school in Maputo,
Mozambique. The vision of LHFF is an equitable world, being free to speech, do good,
spread love and compassion to the next for a healthy planet. The project seeks to
refurbish the school infrastructure and create vibrant art installations that celebrate
Mozambique’s rich cultural heritage, promoting a sense of pride and identity within the
community. The name “RESET” symbolizes a fresh start and renewal, starting with the
Escola Secundária do Polana, reflecting the project’s aim to transform a neglected space
into a vibrant hub of learning and creativity. It signifies a cultural reset, inviting the youth
to rediscover its heritage and reimagine the future through art and education. It
represents a cultural reawakening, initiating from this cornerstone institution and a
celebration of Mozambique’s diverse heritage.
Project Objectives
Refurbish the public school to create a safe, hygiene and conducive learning environment for students.
Create engaging and culturally relevant art installations that reflect Mozambican history, traditions, and diversity.
